Abstract

The article presents the results of studying the alkylation reaction of 2-amino-6-methylpyrimidin-4-one with higher alkyl halides (С4-С9) in absolute alcohol. When electron density is distributed in the 2-amino-6-methylpyrimidin-4-one anion, alkylation products of N-.1, N-3 or the exocyclic amino group are not formed.
