By quickly and effectively relieving pain and other clinical problems while reducing recovery time, the use of low-dose local anesthetics (LAs) has dramatically improved patient care. In order to prioritize future research, this study intends to identify gaps in the present literature and describe the scientific data currently available on the therapeutic use of low-dose LAs in a variety of illnesses. The five separate steps of the Arksey and O'Malley framework's methodological principles were followed in this systematic scoping review. In dentistry and medical practice, local anesthetics have a remarkable track record of safety and effectiveness. It makes sense for physicians to ignore many of their pharmacotherapeutic principles because their use is so common and side effects are so rare. This continuing education article's goal is to examine and update the fundamental pharmacology of the many local anesthetic formulations that are currently in use. In a later essay, technical aspects will be discussed. Furthermore, indicators unrelated to pain were found (13.95%). Overall, the administration of short-acting, low-dose LAs showed significant results in terms of pain management and a decrease in anxiety and depression ratings, improving the patients' quality of life. In terms of the therapeutic role of LAs, this review is the first systematic scoping review. Further rigorous research, including bigger, well-designed randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and long-term outcome monitoring, is necessary to validate the claimed positive impacts on safety and efficacy.
