Viral pneumonia in infants represents a major public health concern due to its high transmissibility, vulnerability of the pediatric population, and potential for severe clinical outcomes. This paper explores the transmission characteristics of viral pneumonia among infants, emphasizing epidemiological patterns, biological mechanisms of viral spread, environmental and socio-cultural determinants, and healthcare system factors within the context of Uzbekistan. The study synthesizes international and regional scientific literature to examine common causative agents, including respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), influenza viruses, adenovirus, and human metapneumovirus, and their modes of transmission. Special attention is given to household crowding, seasonal migration, healthcare access, and public health practices in Uzbekistan that influence infection dynamics. The findings underscore the need for strengthened preventive strategies, improved surveillance, and culturally adapted health education programs to reduce the burden of viral pneumonia in infants.
