FUNGAL SKIN DISEASES

This article presents a scientific overview of the etiology, epidemiology, clinical manifestations, diagnostic methods, and treatment effectiveness of fungal skin diseases (dermatomycoses). According to the research findings, Trichophyton rubrum was identified as the leading pathogen among dermatophytes. Among clinical forms, tinea pedis and onychomycosis were observed most frequently. Combination therapy (topical and systemic antifungal treatment) demonstrated higher efficacy compared to topical therapy alone. The results confirm that early diagnosis, laboratory confirmation, and a comprehensive therapeutic approach are crucial in the management of fungal skin diseases.
